Where do we even start?! Well, we were contacted by the wonderful Ivette with Ivette West Photography to help coordinate a styled shoot at The Chandelier of Gruene that she had planned in July. We asked if we could tweak some of the design plans and really came up with an entire new concept (oops!), but she was great and on board with our ideas! After that, we secured a few remaining vendors and sent them all our new design board and got to work on planning! The result: pure MAGIC. Seriously, this was our favorite styled shoot to date! Take a look at our original design board below and the beauty that these vendors created – we’re in LOVE.
In the morning, our model Tyler got her hair done with The Swich Up Hair Solutions in Austin and then she and Thomas made their way to the venue for the rest of prep! Vickey Lee did an incredible job working with Tyler’s natural beauty and fit the vibe of the shoot. We started out at the chapel (which can we just talk about how perfect this vibrant, open-air hill country chapel is?!) and this real-life couple made the perfect bride & groom duo. We thought wardrobe was huge for this theme: Tyler’s perfectly-fitting bridal gown came from Lillian Mae Bridal in Austin, and Thomas’ suit from The Black Tux. And would you get a look at those DETAILS! From the perfectly elegant invitation suite by Girl General, to the luxe boho décor brought in by Rustic Romance Rentals, to the ribbon trailing down on that stunning bouquet – y’all we couldn’t have asked for anything else.
For assembling a team of vendors full of people she had never really met (Ivette bounces between Texas and Vegas for work), she found such a great group of people and Tyler & Thomas were no exception! Rhea’Lynn and I decided the moment they rang the iconic bell at Chandelier of Gruene that it was our favorite memory of the day by far. Side plug: check out our IGTV behind-the-scenes video to see this in action – it’s so cute!
After the chapel it was time for a quick outfit change for Tyler (because every bride deserves two looks!) into the most perfect custom jumpsuit from A.Cherie Couture. If you’ve been here a while you know how much we adore Ashley with A.Cherie – she even did the alterations for Rhea’Lynn’s wedding dress when no other bridal shop said it could be done in time. She is amazing – go check her out!
I loved everything about this day, but this scene was by far my favorite! We wanted to showcase Sipsy from Bartenders 4 You in a brand-new way, so pairing with our friends from Balloons Boutique SA was the perfect choice! SO happy they came on board and perfectly accented this lounge area (I mean who wouldn’t want to hang out here?!). Their matte balloons filled with greenery and floral highlighted this adorable mobile bar so well. Bartenders 4 You did something fun to fit our theme as well – Boozy Bags! Think of them as adult Capri Suns ;) With labels from Girl General and a fun sign by Lazy Creek Designs, it definitely deserved a big ‘cheers!’ Rhea’Lynn added some fun personal touches to our design with her very own wedding décor & signs! These gorgeous, customized pieces (soon to be an option for all of you – stay tuned!) were the perfect complement to this shoot and such a fun statement piece! Side note: she also made the copper stand for the bar sign as well as the table numbers you’ll see later. We are super stoked to start offering these for all of you!
Myra from Chandelier of Gruene called me before the shoot to let me know about a new vendor in our area – Donut Darlin! We’ve seen mobile bars, but a mobile donut trailer?! YUM! Made fresh on site, they can do donut platters, towers, and coffee – is there a better late-night snack than that?! Another one of our favorite sweet-treat vendors, Cakes by Cathy Young provided a gorgeous cake that was accented with fun floral for our modern boho event.
We finally made our way inside (and thank goodness because it was literally 100degrees outside!) to this incredible tablescape designed by Rustic Romance Rentals and capped off with a floral installation that made our hearts melt. We sent Evann from Root and Wilde the same mood board inspiration as all the other vendors and holy.cow. did she deliver. She made two different bridal bouquets (did you catch that?!), beautiful ceremony pieces and this jaw-dropping statement piece above the sweetheart table. The Chandelier of Gruene is always adding new features like these hanging floral boxes and draping for smaller events of 125 or less – we love everything about this family-owned venue!
One thing we really loved when we got these photos back is how much Ivette made it feel like a real wedding! From sweet, intimate moments, to dancing their way into the reception hall, this entire day was a blast. We cannot thank all of these vendors enough that poured their heart into their crafts and made this day a dream come true. If you made it this far, thank YOU. We just had so much to say and rave about on this awesome day. And, that’s a wrap!
